Wichita, KS.

Wichita – Fred Phelps’ notorious Westboro Baptist Church threatens protest of comedian ANT’s Gay Up Stand Up Comedy
Show demands Orpheum Theatre cancel show and stop programing for gays.

ANT issues the following statement through his publicist.

“Fred Phelps and his minion/sister (singular tense intentional) are more than welcome to come and protest my show.
As there will be a large group of gay and very fashionable straight people at the event, I will be enforcing the
following: The wearing of Polyester will be strictly prohibited. If your name is Gater, Skeeter, Goober, Goner,
Donner or Blitzen spittoon’s will be confiscated on sight. If your home is registered with the Department of Motor
Vehicles, you may protest me but you must park your house on the yellow brick road…We are in Kansas after all.
And finally, Fred Phelps was once overheard saying, ‘I’ll leave the little homos alone when a blind hog finds an acorn.’ Well, what more is there to say after that?”

You were great in Tahoe a few months ago, but you seemed much lighter (not weight) the other night…like you were having more fun and enjoying yourself more on stage. Thanks for the hugs…you are in my top 2 or 3 favorite huggers (I’d never tell you you were #1 cuz then you’d get all cocky and stuff )

Hi Auntie T!!

I think it’s important to indulge in a bit of silliness. It changes your perspective.

When you think you are having a ‘crap’ day. Inject a little silly.

1) People will think you have lost your mind.
2) You’ll feel a lot better.

This weekend I learned that it’s important not to tell a 4 year old boy that the cute fluffly little stuffed bunny he is holding is an “Attack Bunny”. Because he will make it come true…and while his parent’s are in the store you will be ‘attacked’ by what was once an very innocent, never hurt anyone before bunny in the hands of a very gleeful 4 year old.

It’s like planting a tiny little seed and getting an orchard in ten seconds.

I blame the bunny.

Silly is required behavior for me….if I’m not being silly everyone wants to know what’s wrong. I know none of you will believe that, especially Emjay, but it’s true

My happy news for the day is that my sister called and asked me to come down and babysit next month! YAY! Auntie T gets to be Super Silly for a day or two. The bad news is that while she (4 years old) only has attack stuffed animals…he (almost 3 years old) has attack trucks, and cars, and hard metal and plastic toys! Any advice, Craig?

I’m still here! Working my overnights as usual.. Reading everyone’s thoughts really sparks me when I get to work.. and, ANT, seeing a new video blog when I signed on tonight made me giddy!

I just know the show in Kansas is going to be spectacular. I’m not able to be there this time.. And, that hate mongering what’s his name, well… he won’t know what to do when all that positive energy hits him. How awful it must be to live his life. I bet he’s never experienced silly!

Speaking of silly, it’s true what some of you have said, children are the best teachers! Just yesterday, my son and I went for a walk around town. We played red light green light, kicked rocks, stepped on each other’s shadows.. just being goofy. When I grow up, I aspire to be more child-like. (When he grows up, he wants to be a monster.. hehehe.)

I have to say too, to all you who leave comments, you really rock. Tonight when I signed in, and I saw the familiar names, I got all warm and fuzzy. I really do look forward to getting to know you all better.

Now excuse me… I’m going to go hunt down some killer bunnies!

I just heard from “the Blake” that we are going to the “bitty City” an hour from here. I told him I could not go tomorrow (cuz of live blog) so we are going soonish today instead. I need some basic stuff and garden plants!!! HURRAY I LOVE buying tomatoes and peppers and flowers to plant. I hope I can find some Roma Tomato plants.

Wow! I said “my own personal myspace stuff ” and I meant Facebook.
Back from the citay. Didn’t get all my plants….. not even a flower actually. Seems like the greenhouse places are not stalking up like years before. I DID find a 6 pack of Roma tomatoes and some Chilies and some Big Bertha peppers that get huge and red. Love them. I also bought a 6 pack of supersweet 100 cherry tomatoes but need to gift a few of them cuz 6 cherry tomatoes in a garden would just be nuckinfuts. I also got some yellow tomatoes. Blah blah bore ya with my shopping list. HA!HA!HA!
ATE FREEEEEEE at KFC! The Oprah coupons worked. Their grilled chicken is pretty good! Not saying I wouldn’t rather eat the crispy stuff, but free it was good!

I need to NOT FORGET chat tomorrow!
I need to go to mogulus and see if I can still get in.
I did my cookie deletion stuff and it always makes it hard to get back to my “haunts”.

Emjay, it sounds like the trip into the big city was productive! You’re killing me with all of the tomatoes! They are one of my mostest favoritest things…especially right off the vine and eaten like an apple…but I can’t have them anymore cuz they make my throat swell shut…that’s not a good thing

MichelleOpal – How old is your son? Some of my favorite memories with my son are of when we’d go Puddle Stomping. We’d put on our boots and jackets and go play in the puddles and gutters until we were soaked from head to toe Then we’d come home, dry off and drink hot chocolate I miss those days….

I hope everyone had a great day. I’m a stress case, but it’ll pass. I have one friend who has been having bad heart problems for the past 24 hours, but won’t go to the doctor. I have another friend who went in for an MRI of her neck and walked out with a probably aneurysm in her brain (unruptured) so I’m waiting to hear back on her follow up scans/tests. And today I was informed that I am being forced to furlough…it’s not clear whether it’s 1 or 2 days a month (5% or 10% pay cut) but it is clear it starts this pay period. UGH! Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather take a 10% pay cut than 100% anyday….but it’s going to make things even tighter for a while. Oh and I came home, walked out into the backyard and discovered some sort of flying stinging thing has burrowed into the wood right outside the door and is building a nest or hive. I don’t know if it’s a hornet or a wasp cuz I can’t see it…I can just hear it and see the dust falling from the hole where it’s digging….UGH! Guess who is calling the property manager first thing in the morning

But tomorrow is another day and everyone is going to be healthy and I’ll just give up Starbucks or concerts or something to make up for the furlough.
