Who is managing who?

Taking care of the critically ill, you get a whole new perspective on life. More reverence. More respect. More value. So when someone starts getting into their own pity party…you have to make a stand and disinvite yourself from that party. Here’s what I mean.

Need some help? CLICK HERE to email a moderator. Please be as specific as possible. Include the name of the colony you are at (MySpace, NBC, Facebook), time of occurence, and a brief description. Moderators will investigate and act accordingly. You may or may not be notified by the moderator if any action is taken.

To operate the colony television:

1. Click turn me on.
2. It should start with Today’s blog. If it doesn’t, don’t panic. Click the “On Demand” button at the bottom of the player and select the blog with today’s date or the the blog with the same name as the title at the top of today’s blog.
3. When a scheduled chat happens, click the chat button that becomes visible only during chat times.
4. Volume control is the + or – buttons. To mute double click the horn.
5. Select “Menu” for more options.
6. If you lose the menu at the bottom of the viewer, just refresh the page. that should bring it back.
7. If you see that white start video button on your screen after you’ve selected play. Just double click it again and it should disappear.

ANT – Good for you for being strong enough (or frustrated enough) to be honest with him and tell him to snap out of it.

I believe pity parties can be therapeutic and are sometimes necessary…if they only last an hour or two. They can be a good thing if the person can take a deep breath at the end and say, “Okay, now what am I going to do about it?” and start making plans for how they are going to try change whatever it is in their life they are feeling sorry for themselves about.

That being said, I have never knowingly been facing death. That might warrant more than a few hours, but not forever. At some point, you have to take control of your life…whether it’s your health, relationships, a situation you find yourself in…feel sorry for yourself and get out the frustration, and tears, and acknowledge the fears, but then it’s time to figure out what you can change and how you’re going to try to do it.

You’re a good friend. He’s lucky to have you.

I hope you have a great time in Monterey. I was checking the weather there for my mom earlier today (she’ll be just up the road in Asilomar this weekend). It’s supposed to be in the mid-70s. It should be gorgeous!

Heidi, sorry the fish didn’t work out.

Nothing less fun then slaving over a nice dinner, only for it to turn out not so nice.

I hate it when I try something new and the kids hate it.

It almost always tastes, good, and the adults like it…but the kids just are use to what they are use to, and trying new things isn’t always cool with them.

So…it usually is a flop.

Oh well.

At least you tried:)

I have not stopped thinking of you since I heard the news this morning..It became a tad dangerous..That’s how much I hurt for you..I’m hoping the love from the colonys and friends will ease your pain.
